My ego wants to believe that you’ve all been asking that question. We all want to be missed when we are gone and I really miss all of you.
I am up in Ohio in my childhood home. My mother has Alzheimer’s disease and I am spending some time with her. Her memory is fading too quickly.
I’m dancing a fine line between coach and daughter right now as I sit with this horrible disease and try to administer the medicine I know helps any disease: company, care, good food and movement. Finding a balance between the two roles will be a challenge.
The only thing I know is that I have to do whatever I can to help whether that be teaching her about good, nourishing food, getting her to move more each day or just sitting with her.
In the end, this is what a coach does and this is my most important client.
I’ll be home soon.
