"When you encourage others, you in the process are encouraged because you're making a commitment and difference in that person's life. Encouragement really does make a difference." -Zig Ziglar
One of the best things about 30A CrossFit is the team atmosphere, the camaraderie and friendships that come from working out with people like you. We’ve said it before: having a tribe of like-minded people that understand, support and encourage you is one of the most powerful life strategies there is.
If you were here for Friday Night Lights last week and saw Casey perform on CrossFit Open workout 16.2, then you saw firsthand the power of our tribe. The energy was incredible and Casey went far beyond what she thought was possible during that workout.
But it’s not just during competition that the power of encouragement can be felt. It’s every day. Cheering for your classmate as they finish up their workout or consoling them after a missed lift are obvious examples.
And sometimes the more subtle ways are more powerful. Asking how someone is doing, a genuine smile, a hug or just a knowing look can have a deep impact. Even, or maybe especially, when you don’t even realize it.
We're all busy. But, too, we all know the power of encouragement from others.
Pay attention. There is always someone that needs a little love. Make that difference.
